About The Tahoe Chamber Music Society

The Tahoe Chamber Music Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit performing arts organization that has presented free chamber recitals to the Northern Nevada/Lake Tahoe region for 43 years. Aaron Paxson, former Artistic Director of the organization, made it his central focus to present six concerts every summer free of charge so that any who had interest could attend.

 

Our current mission is to enrich the cultural landscape of Reno/Tahoe by hosting free chamber music recitals performed by the finest local and national talent, and cultivate sustainable audience growth through educational outreach.

We acted as the fiscal sponsor for reNEW — Reno's only ensemble focusing on performing, premiering, and championing new music — from 2020 through early 2022 when reNEW was able to attain its own 501(c)(3) status. More at reNEWEnsemble.org
